Five basic natural remedies to grow hair



Our hair is the crown we never take off, so we’d better make sure that they are well maintained and look healthy. Most of us are not satisfied with them and want to improve their condition. To make your hair look thicker and to reduce the damaged hair or hair loss, here are a few natural remedies that can help you to stimulate growth and enhance them:

1. Massage

Massaging your scalp with conjunction with certain hair oils and hair masks stimulates the scalp and can improve hair thickness. Getting a scalp massage helps to distribute the hairs natural oils to condition your hair. Another benefit of massaging your scalp is that it even helps to relieve stress and tension.

Scalp massages to promote hair can be a slow process, but effective. Apart from using nourishing oils to promote hair growth, certain scalp massaging brushes may also work better.

2. Coconut oil

Coconut oil has been used for centuries and is a popular remedy for thick and lustrous hair. The fatty acids present in coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft and helps prevent the loss of protein from hair. The vitamins naturally found in coconut oil provides nourishment to the hair scalp and removes sebum deposits from the hair follicles. If you have oily hair, you can apply coconut oil a night before and leave it overnight before your wash it. If your hair tends to be on a dry side, you can apply the oil after washing. Either way, it can do wonders to your hair growth and texture.

3. Onion Juice

Onion juice, apart from its smell, can bring immense benefits to your hair. It is known to improve keratin growth and the flow of blood to hair cuticles. You can make onion juice quite easily by blending a few onions and extracting the juice. Apply the extract to your scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes before you shampoo.

4. Aloe Vera

Another active ingredient which you might have seen in skin and hair care products is Aloe Vera gel. Applying aloe vera to the hair or scalp may strengthen hair over a period of time. As a home remedy, you can directly apply pure aloe gel to your scalp and keep it sitting for 30 minutes before you wash it. This treatment can be used once or twice a week.

5. A Nutritious Diet

Consuming a healthy diet is hugely important to the health of your hair. Ensuring a proper supply of essential nutrients helps to boost hair growth. One of the reasons for hair loss or hair thinning could be if you are not getting enough nutrients. Therefore, make sure you include protein rich foods in your diet like eggs, curd, walnuts, almonds, fish, etc. Including these food items in your daily diet can work wonders for your hair.
