After rising fuel and food prices, Indian consumers may now face another financial burden — higher medicine costs. The Indian government is reportedly considering a price hike for 384 essential medicines, including commonly used drugs such as paracetamol, antibiotics, and cardiac medicines. According to a recent media report by Live Mint, discussions are currently underway between the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), the Department of Pharmaceuticals, and the
