The Delhi government is set to launch a mobile unit dedicated to public outreach and the popularization of Ayurveda, according to Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh. This move reaffirms the government's focus on expanding holistic healthcare through AYUSH systems—Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy.

Highlights from the Governing Council Meeting
Health Minister Singh made the announcement during the 19th Governing Council Meeting of Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan (CBPACS) in Najafgarh, praising the institute’s progress and stating that CBPACS should become a benchmark for Ayurveda in India.
He directed that Panchakarma therapies be made more widely available to support holistic wellness across Delhi.
Expanded Outreach and Infrastructure
The mobile unit will aim to boost public awareness of CBPACS’s Ayurvedic offerings and improve access to traditional medical therapies, especially for underserved populations.
CBPACS is set to establish an International Wellness Center for treating stress and mental health issues using Ayurvedic techniques as part of infrastructure expansion.
Commitment to Research and Staff Support
Minister Singh assured full government support to the faculty and staff, motivating them to work towards raising the institute to international standards.
CBPACS plans to broaden its research activities, with upcoming Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with national and international organizations to advance Ayurvedic medical research and innovation.

Vision for Holistic Healthcare
The government’s actions reflect a vision to mainstream holistic health modalities and boost community-based AYUSH services throughout Delhi.
Recent expansions in Delhi’s healthcare—such as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Jan Aushadhi Kendras—demonstrate ongoing investments in robust, accessible public wellness infrastructure.
This initiative marks a significant step in Delhi’s healthcare strategy, making Ayurveda more visible, accessible, and integrated into everyday life for residents, while also supporting research and holistic health education
